When it comes to primary and urgent medical care, you can always count on Barfield Clinic. Other than primary and urgent care, our services include digital on-site X-rays, suturing, and on-site labs. We take time with all our patients to make sure they get proper care. All providers have been practicing for over 10 years.

Our team of medical practitioners has over 44 years of combined experience. Our staff is board certified and can speak both English and Spanish. Our providers attend the latest courses to keep up with the changes in the health care field. We accept most insurance, including Tri Care insurance and commercial insurance. Clark Archer

MD
A native of middle Tennessee, Dr. Archer completed his undergraduate studies at David Lipscomb (93), Medical School at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (97) and emergency medicine residency in Akron, OH. Dr. Archer is board certified in emergency medicine. He has been the Medical Director for Barfield Clinic since 2005. He has also served as the Medical Director of the emergency department for StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN. He is involved in his church and several local and international charities.

Jack Hydrick

NP
A native of Middle Tennessee, Hydrick has lived in Murfreesboro since 1995. He completed his undergraduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University and his graduate training at Vanderbilt University. Hydrick is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) in family practice. Hydrick is the proud father of three daughters. He has been married to Melana (MTSU '92) for 23 years. 

Hydrick is a veteran of the US Navy and also served two years in the National Health Service Corps in rural Virginia. He has practiced in Tennessee, Virginia, and Mississippi. He previously served as a full-time faculty member at Vanderbilt University and continues to hold a clinical instructor appointment. Hydrick opened Barfield Clinic, named for the community, in 2004.

In addition to training in primary and urgent care, Hydrick is also trained in medical aesthetics, fracture care and orthopedic imaging, allergy and immunotherapy, advanced hormonal therapy, and genetics.


Leanne Venable

NP
Venable began her career as a Pediatric Nurse at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of Tennessee at Martin and graduate training at Vanderbilt University. Venable is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) in family practice. 

She has worked in pediatrics, family practice, and urgent care. Venable began her NP career at Barfield Clinic in 2007 and enjoys providing healthcare to patients and families locally. Leanne also has advanced training in medical aesthetics and radiology. She has taught at Belmont University and holds an adjunct faculty position at Vanderbilt University.

Venable grew up in Middle Tennessee and moved to Murfreesboro in 2004. She married Travis in 2004 and they have two daughters. Venable is a member of New Vision Baptist Church.


Kurt Knoll

PA-C
Knoll completed his undergraduate studies at Kansas State University. He went on to graduate from Wichita State University as a Physician Assistant. Knoll is professionally affiliated with the American Academy of Physician Assistants. 

He has worked in orthopedics, surgery, family practice, and urgent care. Kurt has advanced training in allergy and immunology, radiology, orthopedics, and many surgical procedures. Kurt and his wife, Angela, reside in Murfreesboro with their three children. Both are active in the World Outreach Church.
